Hello! I want to welcome you to my website.

Please come back soon.

President Kennedy's Inauguration

Go back to January 19, 1961. Place Washington, DC, day before the Presidential Inauguration.

I was in The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers station at Fort Belvoir Va. Outside of Washington, DC.

On this day it started snowing early in the morning by mid afternoon of January 19, 1961 we had between 8 and 10 inches of snow on the ground.

On January 20, 1961 John F. Kennedy was to be inaugurated as President.

That afternoon our unit was called out to remove the snow from The Parade Route, from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to The Capitol. This is a 2 mile route 4 lane Street, and then the sidewalk around The Capitol, We worked though the night and around 5:AM on

January 20 we were taken back to Fort Belvoir Va. To eat breakfast, take a shower, put on our dress uniform, and be ready to return to Washington, DC for guard duty along the parade route and around The Capitol, the temperature was about 22 degree wind made it fell about 7degree. I know it was cold.

We were on both sides of Pennsylvania Avenue and around the Capitol just an arms length apart, I remember my guard spot was on the east side of the capitol where the Presidential Inauguration took place, this was a great experience for me.

You see while I was in The Army I got to see and met two (2) of our great Presidents, President Eisenhower, and President Kennedy.

I want to invite everyone to attend The Church and Sunday of your choice each and every Sunday. Also Read you Bible and Pray for each other. And for this Great COUNTRY THE GOOD OLD UNTIED STATES of AMIRICA.

Daily Bible Reading

Genesis 45:1-7

1.hen Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.

And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.

Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.

And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
